This book is intended to help parents and kids enjoy the holidays and cope with the holiday challenges of potty training. It’s a kid-friendly story and funny book for kids with a few easter eggs for adults. It’s the story of a child and a mom and dad but the kid can be a girl or a boy. Her/Him/Them. The reason the photos don’t show faces is so a boy or a girl can put themselves in the seat of the ‘child’.
On the eve before Christmas, Santa Claus receives an intriguing letter from a father whose only yuletide wish is for a Christmas poopy. With the help of the very sensible Mrs. Claus, some dutiful elves, and a child who finally decides to be a big kid, papa’s Christmas wish finally comes true. Written to allow both girls and boys to put themselves in the protagonist’s shoes, this humorous and lovingly crafted book will help both young and old discover the “true spirit of the Christmas poopy.”
When not writing letters to Santa Claus, Joshua Rapp Iverson likes to spend his time climbing mountains, riding a tractor, and wrestling with his children. He was inspired to write The Christmas Poopy when his eldest child announced with fanfare that he was finally going to use the potty during a holiday gathering. Joshua lives with his wife and three big kids in Harvard, Massachusetts.
